Use the entry log to track over time

You’ve heard the advice time and time again: write down your work accomplishments as they happen. It’s what APEGA recommends you do to write a strong P.Eng. application, and it also can help when you’re applying for a promotion or raise, or during performance review season.

Document your work experience by making entries in the log so you can reference them easily 4 years later.

Tag each entry to the 22 competencies of the application to identify gaps in experience, or to a long-term career goal for progression.

Dashboard view to show your progress and status fields to show your progression towards completing each entry.

Work in APEGA’s P.Eng. application template

Filter through your experience entries and summaries to put together your application, or skip right to writing. PYPD gives you room to ideate on your entries before you start writing the P.Eng. application.

Competency Forms match the structure of the APEGA application, so you’re working with the correct format and word count from day 1 until submission.

Work experiences often cover more than one competency. Use the Log to draft summaries of your job history to use when it’s time to fill in the application template.

Goal setting and tracking

Goal setting is the key to progress. Set a Goal, and tag entries to it so you can stay on track and feel successful. Whether it's enhancing your technical skills or gaining leadership experience, our Goal Setting Tag feature keeps you on track to meet your objectives.
